Event Details

Throughout the months of May till August 2017, National Fostering Agency Scotland are running a footprint challenge called ‘I Would Walk 500 Miles’.

We chose this theme, which coincided with the ‘Walk to School Week’. This is a great opportunity to promote the benefits of exercise and a healthy lifestyle.

All you need to do is keep  track of the miles walked for each child in your family using the journal enclosed in the pack. you will need the carer to initial the miles completed.

Please do send in some photos (without children) of some famous Scottish landmarks/signposts etc. along the way and we’ll pop them on Facebook. E-mail these to [email protected]

At the end of the challenge all you need to do is total up the miles walked and put them on the cardboard cutout of a footprint together with the child’s initials. To make it a bit more fun we would like to see the footprint coloured in with some unique tartan designs. We will then showcase the children’s efforts on a big map of Scotland to hang on the wall at our Head Office in Stirling.

Every child or young person who returns their completed tartan footprint will receive a certificate and be entered into a free prize draw.
