Two Men, Eight Countries, Four Days

Tuesday 11 April 2017

Foster carer, Elliott and best friend Simon take Europe – James Bond style. Elliott and wife, Jo, have been foster carers with NFA since September 2001 and have looked after over 60 children. This year Elliott is taking the trip of a lifetime…

From the 6th to 10th September, Elliott and best friend Simon will be making a 4-day run across Europe, travelling across some of Switzerland’s most challenging and beautiful mountain passes.

Start your fostering journey today

They are joining the rally in aid of East Anglia’s Children Hospital, a Cambridge based charity that supports families and cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. Whilst looking for a charity to raise money for, both Elliott and Simon visited the Ipswich based facility and were so impressed and emotionally moved by the incredible work carried out, they decided all money would go to them and they would cover expenses of the trip themselves.

The tickets have since been booked, (compulsory) fancy dress outfits ordered and the car chosen… a Mazda MX5 – perhaps not the wisest choice for 2 middle-age men maybe not as trim as they should be (according to wife Jo!) and for carrying food and camping supplies. So it seems, the bigger the challenge the better!

We are very proud sponsors and wish Elliott and Simon the very best of luck from all at NFA.
