Fostering February Roadshow

Thursday 24 March 2016

NFA are proud to be supporting Fostering February – a month long campaign designed to raise the profile of the shortage of foster carers, and also dispel some of the myths that surround fostering.

This years campaign will involve the ‘#fosteringfebruary roadshow’ which is making its way across the UK during February, visiting town and cities along the way. Various information events have also been planned throughout February.

Fostering February is a campaign to create awareness around what fostering is about and to dispel many of the myths that surround fostering, such as knowing that you don’t need to own your own home and you don’t need to be married, and saying that yes, you can be gay, can be single and can be divorced and still foster.

Start your fostering journey today

Fostering February wants you to learn more about the facts and be properly informed on how to become a foster carer – understand what is involved and how long it could take – and very importantly, have the opportunity to ask as many questions as you would like.

Did you know there are over 92,000 looked after children in the United Kingdom of whom some 67,000 children and young people live with loving foster families? No matter where you are in the country, there is someone near you making a difference to a young person’s life by offering them the love and everyday human needs they deserve – things most of us take for granted.

Come along and show your support, speak to the team and find out if you could become a foster carer.

By taking the time to ask and find out, you could honestly and truly make an amazing difference to a young person’s passage towards adulthood. Help to transform a child’s life today by contacting us today.
