Summer of Sports

Monday 15 July 2024

National Fostering Group is excited to announce that we are working with the British Gymnastic Foundation to host a series of events this summer to celebrate the positive physical and mental effects of engaging with sport.

“This summer we have celebrated the Euro’s and Team GB are heading to Paris for the Olympics and Paralympics – it’s an exciting time for sport and we wanted to give children and young people within fostering families the opportunity to celebrate this through engaging in sports.

“As always, our agencies will be hosting a wide variety of events and activities for children and young people, and by working with British Gymnastics Foundation we have the opportunity to offer something a little special – and who knows we might inspire a future Olympian at one of the events!” National Fostering Group

Partnering with the British Gymnastic Foundation represents National Fostering Group’s commitment to working with organisations that share our commitment to having a positive impact on the lives of children and young people.

Working together we are providing the opportunity to train with professional gymnastic coaches across the country, creating an opportunity to inspire children and young people living in fostering families.

“The British Gymnastics Foundation are delighted to be partnering with National Fostering Group to give opportunities to young people from foster families to take part in gymnastics this summer. We’d like to especially thank the British Gymnastics Clubs who have engaged in this project. We know the children will have a fabulous experience” Louise Roberts, Head of Programmes at the British Gymnastics Foundation

The events are taking place throughout the summer and across the country.
