Find out if you could be a foster carer
In a few simple questions, you’ll know if you’re suitable to apply to become a foster carer.
I have been with the agency for over 5 years and I work with a great team, who are child centred and strive for the best possible outcomes for the young people. I support a small caseload of incredibly committed foster carers who provide therapeutic parenting to children and young people who have often experienced trauma, loss and neglect in their lives. I have been a practising social worker for many years, undertaking many different roles in various social care settings including residential, local authorities and private fostering settings and I have also worked with young people with epilepsy in a Hospital School in Surrey. I believe that the child/young person should be central to any plan and like to work in partnership with others to ensure that the child/young person remains at the forefront of any planning. I am solution focussed and do not shy away from those more challenging conversations to ensure that the child/young person receives all of the support they need. I am a life long leaner and enjoy undertaking any training that increase my knowledge.
