Foster Care Fortnight 2022

Monday 11 April 2022

Foster Care Fortnight is the Fostering Network’s annual campaign to raise awareness of fostering and the role it plays in transforming young lives.

It’s a chance to really promote the UK’s fostering community, with a network of events, taking place nationally from 9-22 May.

What is the theme this year?

Foster Care Fortnight 2022 is all about #FosteringCommunities. The UK’s fostering community is strong, but the work they do and the challenges they face shouldn’t go unrecognised.

We want to celebrate the people and groups who come together to care for young people, and help them thrive.

How are we supporting?

Between 9-22 May our teams from our local agencies will be holding a huge range of events taking place right across the UK. These range from informal coffee & cake mornings to fun activities, and information days. There will be online sessions and friendly face-to-face meet-ups, so everyone has the chance to take part, whilst finding out more about fostering.

Every one of our events during Foster Care Fortnight 2022 will be a celebration of our fostering community – and an opportunity for potential carers to learn more about how they can become part of the community.

You can see a full list of events, meet-ups and activities here.
