My name is Aimi Macauley and I have been a qualified social worker since 2007. Before I qualified I was a social care officer. Just before that I worked for Women's Aid.
The majority of my career has been in child protection with a short spell working in a community mental health team working with dual diagnosis service users. I have also worked for Cafcass Cymru and undertaken private social work assessments.
I have only been with NFA for a short time and I am extremely excited and enthusiastic about my new role. The agency have provided me with great support and I am keen to develop my working relationship with the foster carers I supervise. Being a foster carer is demanding and rewarding. I am looking forward to working with the carers to ensure that the children and young people in foster care achieve the best possible outcomes and have a positive experience.
