Welcome to
Reach Out Care

We are an independent fostering agency which partners with local authorities throughout the North East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria to provide caring, stable homes for children and young people in care.

To help us achieve the very best outcomes for those coming into our care, we provide our dedicated foster carers with an industry leading round-the-clock support service, generous carer fees and allowances, as well as a wide range of introductory and specialist training.

We encourage potential foster carers from all walks of life to join us in continuing to make these positive changes to children and young people deserving of opportunities to reach their full potential.

Your marital status, sexuality, age, whether you are a homeowner or have a disability do not impact on becoming a successful foster carer; it is entirely about your ability to develop and care for a child and to work as part of a passionate professional fostering network.

Why Reach out Care

  • Expert foster carer training

While having raised children or working with young people in some capacity is beneficial when starting your fostering adventure, it is by no means a prerequisite to being approved to join us. Our experienced trainers can offer a range of popular courses near you to bring you right up to speed on everything you need to know and give you the skills you need to become a fostering expert.

  • Support groups on your doorstep

You won’t have to travel long distances to become immersed in our foster carer community, with nearby support groups offering you a chance to meet up with existing foster carers who have been through the same journey. That’s not to mention having access to social workers on call whenever you need support or advice.

  • Generous financial support

In return for all of your hard work in improving the lives of children within our care, you will receive a fostering allowance, which will usually be exempt from taxation, which covers all of the needs of each foster child in your care, including activities and holidays for you to enjoy together.
