The deadline to submit nominations for the Fostering Excellence Awards 2019 is fast approaching. Remember to submit your nominations for
the social workers, foster carers, sons and daughters and fostered young people that you work with by midnight this Friday 7 June.
The Fostering Excellence Awards not only offer you an opportunity to show your appreciation for all the extraordinary people that you work with, but they
also allow you to showcase your service to the sector and the wider public.
When you’re deciding who to nominate, consider the following:
•Do you know a young person (aged 16 – 24) who has gone on to flourish despite having a difficult start to life?
•Has a foster carer’s child or children (aged 18 and under) gone out of their way to make the children they foster feel welcome and at ease in their home?
•Have you worked with a foster carer who has gone the extra mile for the children in their care or made a real difference to the fostering community?
•Do you have a colleague who has shown outstanding commitment and gone above and beyond their everyday job?
You can nominate more than one person across the awards categories and you can nominate again, even if you’ve nominated in previous years. Please make
sure to share specific examples of how the person has gone above and beyond what was expected in your nomination.
Winners and their nominators will attend the award ceremony in London in October.

Good luck with your nominations!
