At NFA, we believe in investing in the well-being of our carers. November saw the first carer well-being event in Bristol, and the second closely followed in early December for our carers in Gloucestershire.
Our well-being initiative aims to offer a holistic approach – looking at ways to give back to our existing carers whilst providing a relaxed, informal atmosphere where friends and family of carers and people interested in fostering can attend and understand more about what it means to be a foster carer.
The Bristol event saw two hours of complete relaxation where carers had the chance to enjoy an aromatherapy massage by a qualified masseuse. If a massage was not something they were after, they had the option of a facial, eyebrow threading or even henna art on the hands! The event was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who attended and we can’t wait to organise more events across the South West in the new year.
