World Social Work Day 2018

20.03.18

World Social Work Day 2018 (WSWD) is being celebrated today, the 20th of March.

This year’s theme is ‘Promoting Community and Environmental Sustainability’.

WSWD is the key day in the year that social workers worldwide stand together to celebrate the achievements of the profession and take the theme message
into their communities, workplaces and to their governments to raise awareness of the social work contributions and need for further action.

This year the British Association of Social Workers (BASW) will be celebrating WSWD with many exciting events, including events in Parliament, local
events, a photo competition, that they invite the social work community to join.

You can also get involved on social media, using the hastags #WSWD2018 #UKsocialwork

Find out more about the celebrations and the work of the BASW on their website.
