Shaina, one of our foster carers with Pathway Care, has spoken with Planet Radio about her fostering story. She told Planet Radio that when people opened up about their difficulties, she felt it was hugely rewarding to offer support and guide them onto more positive paths.
Shaina tells Planet Radio about how she receives continuous training and support. She is currently providing long term care to a 15 year old boy who has ‘come on in leaps and bounds’ since joining their family, ‘once a school refuser’ but now a ‘pupil with almost 100% attendance.’
The best part of being a foster carer, according to Shaina, is watching young people flourish.
