Sue

Family Support Worker

Sue has worked within the Outcomes family for a number of years assisting her own parents in their roles as foster carers for Sunflower and has always included Sunflower with her own family as her children have grown up with the children cared for by her parents, whilst working as a chef she developed a love for teaching children through play and food and through the children she encountered in Sunflower she began training and specialising in SEMH especially Autism and ADHD.

She began working for Options Autism as a residential support worker during the pandemic and took on a lot of training to help her work with children in care and with SEMH needs, in this role she trained a lot in communication and attachment.

After leaving this role Sue worked as a one-to-one TA working with Autistic children in another Options specialist school furthering her training with children with special needs and children in different care situations.  With a huge focus on Therapeutic parenting and outdoor education which she now uses to help deliver Duke of Edinburgh to the children in our care. Sue brings a range of care techniques to help our team support the variety of children within our care family.
