Find out more on our process for transferring to the National Fostering Group.
It’s quite straightforward to transfer from your current fostering agency to a fostering agency within the NFA Group, and we are on hand to make this as smooth as possible for you. The quickest way to find out the best route for you is to call us on 0800 044 3030 so we can guide you through it.
The process can vary slightly depending on which agency you are with now and whether or not you have any foster children staying with you.
If you do have a foster child staying with you at the moment, our first priority will be to make sure the transfer doesn’t disrupt their care in any way.
We will guide you through a meeting with your currently agency, the local authority and ourselves where we will talk through the following:
After that, we’ll meet with you, your current agency and the child’s social worker to agree the arrangements and to begin your new assessment. We will read through your previous Form F, you will be required to attend our 3 day Skills To Foster training and undergo necessary checks, such as a criminal record check.
If you don’t have a foster child staying with you at the moment, the process is even easier and we can move straight to the assessment stage.
For our assessments to begin, you’ll need to provide your Form F, which we can support with obtaining from your current agency. You will then meet your assessing social worker who will be with you throughout your assessment process. you will be required to attend our 3 days Skills To Foster training and undergo necessary checks, such as a criminal record check.
For advice about making the change as smooth as possible, give us a ring on 0800 044 3030 or request a callback. We’re always happy to help.
