I have been working for Alliance Foster Care since August 2019. Prior to this, I worked for Northamptonshire County Council in the family & friends’ team. This involved undertaking initial home visits and full fostering assessments of family and friends for children who were at risk of being permanently removed from their parent’s care. Within this role, I also undertook the role of a supervising social worker.
Before I worked in the family & friends’ team, I worked a social worker for Looked After children for 13 years. Most of the young people that I worked for were teenagers. Although, the team was for Looked After children, the team had been configured over the years, therefore I have undertaken some court work and child protection work.
Before becoming a qualified social worker, I worked in a number of children’s home within Northamptonshire for 17 years.
“I like working for Alliance as it a very child -focused fostering agency, that put the child’s needs and the carers needs at the heart of what we do.”
