I have been a Support Worker at Alpha Plus Fostering since 2008. Before that I had many various roles in secondary schools. I help children and young people to build relationships with their important people by working creatively, using elements of Theraplay, Therapeutic Life Story Work, and co-facilitating Healing Heart Art Groups with our Agency’s Psychotherapist, Nicky. I also organise all the fun activities we do all year round at Alpha Plus. Such as, Crocky Trail, Manley Mere Adventure Trail & Aqua Park, team building days at Outdoor Elements and fun activities like Kayaking and arts & crafts.

In my spare time I enjoy anything to do with the arts, visiting galleries, the Sculpture Park in Yorkshire, the Art Battles in Manchester, live music events across the Northwest, Theatre, and cinema. I am very lucky to live in the centre of Manchester, so I am never bored. But I also love to visit the coast and walk in the countryside, and I have lots of time to do this now that my daughter is all grown up and has left home.
