Find out if you could be a foster carer
In a few simple questions, you’ll know if you’re suitable to apply to become a foster carer.
I’m Ali, one of Arun Hope’s casual Family Assessment Support Workers, most usually found with the waking night owls!
I have an NVQ level 3 in Child Development and many years’ experience working with families, including being a foster carer for Parent & Child placements, working at a Women’s Refuge, Family Grief Support work at Winston’s Wish and children’s hospice, also many roles with WSCC Family Centres and Social Care services.
As a reflexologist and baby massage practitioner I Have also run Baby Massage Courses for the Family Centres in the north of the county.
I enjoy working with families as they face the many challenges that parenting brings and supporting them through that time. While at Arun Hope I try to bring the ‘Grandma energy’ supporting families and staff in a positive way in a non-judgemental way.
I have 3 sons, 2 grandchildren, 3 dogs, 6 chickens and one fostered peacock due to move to a new home soon!!
