Erlina

Family Assessment Support Worker

Hello, my name is Erlina. I work as a Family Assessment Support Worker at Arun Hope.

I previously worked as a recovery worker with people with a mental health diagnosis, substance misuse and or other challenges. This gave me an understanding on a greater level and therefore I have seen how detrimental mental health can be without the right support. I know it’s not easy to navigate and have found it really beneficial working alongside people at their most difficult time, to learn what has helped during these periods.

I have always loved being around children and have been lucky enough to have close friends and family with babies and children and feel blessed to be a part of their lives. I love the imagination children have and I’m a big child at heart too, so I love getting involved in their little world!

During my time at Arun Hope, I hope to develop my knowledge further and gain more experience within the area of mental health. I hope to embark upon a future career path in Psychology one day.

I love experiencing new cultures, countries and challenging myself. I have had the wonderful opportunity to experience a lot travelling, whereby on one occasion I went skydiving – I was very reluctant at first, as I absolutely hate heights, but I was eventually brave enough to go for it!!
