Keshia

Video Interactive Guidance Practitioner

Hi, I’m Keshia, a Video Interactive Guidance Practitioner

I have worked in nursery school settings for a number of years and worked with adults with learning disabilities for 5 years. I really enjoyed both roles and found myself doing a psychology degree which I completed in 2020.

I love working with children because they see the environment around them so differently to adults, they’re always inquisitive and full of wonder. Children can be both challenging and adorable in the same hour, which keeps everyone on their toes. Working with children makes me happy and gives me a challenge.

I commenced my role at Arun Hope as a support worker, followed by a promotion to a Senior support worker, and more recently attained my position as an accredited VIG practitioner. I enjoy this role, as it is a positive experience during what can be a challenging time for families.

Some hobbies I love are doing arts and crafts with my children, crochet, and taking baths for as long as possible before being disturbed!
