Family Assessment Support Worker

Hello, I’m Zoki, a Family Assessment Support worker.

I have worked with children, young people and families for over 20 years in various roles, some of these include working as a Connexions personal adviser where I worked with young people supporting them with mental health issues, substance misuse and homelessness.

I have worked in residential children’s homes as a residential support worker, as well as volunteering for Home-Start, supporting a family for a year. For the past 13 years I have worked in a school setting where I have supported children with Autism and special needs working as a Learning support assistant as well as an ELSA supporting children in reception year with their emotional needs.

I have a foundation degree in Working with Young People and Young People Services, I have completed many, many courses over the years with regards to children and young people’s mental health, substance misuse, self-harm, homelessness, supporting parents with depression and Nuffield early language Intervention, just to name a few!

Whilst working at Arun Hope, I am learning new skills and enjoy working within a multi-disciplinary team. I love supporting families and helping them to learn new skills and overcome challenges so that they can work towards hopefully achieving the goals they need to so that they are able to stay together as a family.

When not at work, I love spending time with my family, children and grandchildren as well as tending to my allotment, reading and listening to music very loudly!
