I have been with Brighter Futures since November 2021. I provide support and supervision to foster carers in West Sussex and East Sussex. I work closely with my carers to ensure that they are supported, and the placements are well managed. This involves liaising with Local Authority Social Workers and other professionals, to convey progress and updates, or outstanding matters. Prior to my role as a Supervising Social Worker, I worked in Local Authority Child Protection for just over four years. Working in Child Protection has allowed me to gain experience in various areas of the service such as early intervention, case management, report writing, care planning and ensuring that the child’s voice is at the centre of everything that we do as Social Workers. In the short time that I have been with Brighter Futures, I have been made to feel welcome by everyone. The team are really friendly!
