I am a Supervising Social Worker and I have been with Brighter Futures since January 2019. My role as a Supervising Social Worker include supervising and supporting foster parents, supporting children/young people, completing supervisions, attending various meetings, encouraging attendance at participation events, advocating for foster parents and children, supporting birth children, writing reports, ensuring all paperwork such as health and safety/safe caring documents are completed and in date, ensuring that all support is in place for the foster family/looked after children such as therapy, education and guidance.
I have previously worked front line in social care, for a short period of time. Within this time I gained experience in early help, assessment and crisis situations. I then decided to explore a different area, this being fostering. I worked previously in another IFA for approximately 4 and a half years and then decided to move in order to gain experience of another IFA and this is how I became part of the Brighter Futures team.
