Come along to The Norton Grange hotel on Tuesday 10th March 2020 at 6:00pm to find out more about fostering for Alpha Plus in Greater Manchester. We currently have a huge need to recruit more foster carers across Rochdale and Oldham and we would like the opportunity to help you find out more by providing you with all the information you might need to decide whether you could be a good foster carer.

On the evening there will be a presentation with general information about fostering; we will talk about the types of fostering, the ages of children who are looking for homes and the behaviors they might present with, why children come in to foster care and how you can make a difference.

This will be followed by an opportunity for you to talk to experienced Alpha Plus foster carers, social workers and support workers to ask the questions most important to you. You will have the opportunity to find out all about the different areas of fostering to ensure you can make an informed decision. This will include; Fostering Siblings, Fostering Teenagers, Parent and Child Fostering, Types of fostering – Short term, long term and respite, Education and support for children, Support for carers including Helping Hands, Training and development and Financial Support for carers.

If you have a spare bedroom, you drive or live near great transport links and you have the time and commitment to offer a child a loving home then please come along on Tuesday 10th March 2020 at 6:00pm and find out more

There is parking available on site. Light refreshments will be provided.
