Find out if you could be a foster carer
In a few simple questions, you’ll know if you’re suitable to apply to become a foster carer.
Do you have questions about fostering?
Come and along for a coffee and a chat at Ham and Jam coffee shop on Thursday 1st Febraury 2018 from 9.30 am. Ham and Jam coffee shop in the central Preston directly facing the Town Hall.
Our Carer Engagament Officer will be there to chat with you about fostering, answer any questions you may have and will even treat you to a piece of cake!
Currently in Lancashire there are 2,300 children and young people living in care outside the family so we need your help. There is a shortage of foster carers to look after some of Lancashire’s most vulnerable children. You can make a difference by becoming a foster carer. This event is part of our Fostering February campaign to help raise awareness of the huge need for more foster carers so please tell others about our event too.
We understand that fostering is a huge commitment and before you make a decision to make an application you need a full understanding of what is involved, what type of children might come and live with you, what support and training will you receive and so much more. We can begin to answer some of these questions for you in a relaxed and informal environment.
