Could you be the change in a vulnerable child’s life?

Calling future foster carers in the Liverpool area.

The foster care community plays an active and essential role in changing the lives of vulnerable children. Our carers nurture and support young people, helping them shape a better, brighter future.

But the need is ever-growing. Every day in Liverpool, another two children enter the care system.

Foster Care Myths, Busted.

  • You don’t need to own your own home.
  • You can be a single carer.
  • You can be part of the LGBTQIA community.
  • You can be a carer living with disability.

All that you need is a spare bedroom and the commitment to making a positive difference in a child’s life.

Helping You Help

You will receive a weekly fostering allowance of around 22k per year. This is tax-free and will not affect any state benefits you receive.

We also provide a bridging allowance, to make sure that you can cover the costs of care. You won’t be out of pocket.

Most importantly, each of our carers is part of our local fostering family. Our team at Smithdown Road is always there to support you, whether you need training, mentoring or just a friendly chat.

Caring is a community. You won’t be alone.

If you are interested in becoming part of our fostering family, we would love to hear from you.

Fostering has changed my life, look where I am now, happy.
