Becca

Supervising Social Worker

What attracted you to your job and what do you most enjoy about it?

I’ve previously worked with Fostering Solutions in Carer Recruitment, but always wanted to me more hands on with our foster children and families to help make more of a difference. Having left to get my social work qualification and work for the local authority for a bit, I’ve come back as I want to support our fostering families to make a difference to the lives of children in our local area. My favourite part of the job is seeing the relationships our children and foster carers have and the difference being in a supportive family is making to their lives.

Any pets?

I have two ginger cats who like to cause mischief at all hours of the day.

Favourite holiday destination and why?

I’m a huge fan of London. I love exploring and finding new places to see and eat, and we always see a show or two when we go down. There’s just something special about going to the theatre in London.

What are you watching on TV at the moment?

I don’t tend to watch lots of TV as I prefer reading books or watching movies. When it comes to movies, any kind of comedy or superhero film tends to be what I’d go for.

What would you most like to do in life?

I’d love to visit New Zealand. I dreamed of moving there as a child, but now I’m grown up and realised it’s probably not going to happen, I’d love to go and visit instead.
