I’ve worked for the National Fostering Group for 3 ½ years in the Referrals hub, my job title is Referrals Co-ordinator and part of my role is to process and assess all referrals received from the local authorities in Wales and look for available carers who may be able to support children and young people.  I work closely with Supervising Social Workers and Foster Carers and liaise with the local authority staff to obtain the best possible match.  In the Referrals Hub we use a tender process and ensure that all processes and procedures are followed in relation to finding the right foster carers for the children referred.
