Find out if you could be a foster carer
In a few simple questions, you’ll know if you’re suitable to apply to become a foster carer.
I am the Family Outreach Worker with Oundle Office.
I have worked for Fostering Solutions since 2009 and love my job.
Before I started to work for Fostering Solutions I worked in residential care for 10- 18 year olds and before that job I worked in a youth club.
I have 3 daughters who are 26 and my twins are 23. I also have a grandson who is 17 months old and he keeps me very busy.
In my job I help arrange fun activities for all the young people to do. I support the placement and help out when needed. I also can attend Lac and Pep meetings and speak on behalf of the young person if they don’t want to speak in meetings. In our office we have a group for birth children to attend and also a youth council for children who are fostered, which I help out with. This gives the children a chance to speak about any concerns they have and help make some changes to benefit them and others.
