I Joined the East Referrals hub, based in Oundle, in August 2023. Prior to this I was part of the Safeguarding team and a Mental Health Lead for 15 years in a Secondary school. One of my greatest achievements was creating a safe place within the school, called ‘The Hub’ – a place for children to attend when they were struggling with their mental health and needed someone they could rely on and speak to about any worries they may have.  On a daily basis, I worked alongside children who were suffering with anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, OCD and many other mental health related issues.

It will always be a huge passion of mine – helping to positively change children’s lives (hence why I love my new job too).

In my spare time I LOVE spending time with my 3 grandchildren, they are my world!

I also have 3 beautiful daughters and a ‘grand-dog’ – a cocker spaniel called Murphy. I adore my family and love to spend time with them whenever I can.

I’m also obsessed with giraffes! I’m known as the crazy giraffe lady
