Hi, my name is Claire, I have been a supervising social worker here at Jay since 2017 and am based in Derbyshire. I would describe myself as being friendly and outgoing. I have 2 children, and 2 dogs that take up my time outside of work, and a lovely bunch of foster carers who I enjoy spending my time with when I am in work. I am originally from Kent, and moved to Derbyshire in 2017. I have been a qualified social worker since 2013 where I have worked in a range of posts including Children in Care Teams and Referral and Assessment Teams in 3 separate Local Authorities. Prior to qualifying as a social worker I worked in a residential children’s home.

What do you like doing when you are not working?

Outside of work I love days out at the zoo, trampoline parks, swimming, holidays or weekends away camping. I also enjoy watching the Nottingham Panthers playing Ice Hockey. I really struggle with being at home and love keeping myself busy!
