Felicia

Supervising Social Worker

My name is Felicia and I started working with NFA North(East team) in May 2024 as a Supervising Social Worker.

I qualified as a Social Worker with a BA (Hons) in Social Work in 2020 and completed my placements in a residential children's home and a Primary school . Post-qualification, I worked with a Local Authority as an Education Support Officer in their Virtual School and an Independent Fostering Agency(IFA), where I completed my Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE). Prior to embarking on the Social Work degree, I worked with another Local Authority for 15 years as a Housing Benefit, Council Tax and Visiting officer. The roles have given me invaluable knowledge and experience to support the most vulnerable children to access high quality education while raising their educational aspirations and narrowing attainment and progress gaps. whilst also supporting and advocating for their foster families during multi-agency meetings.
