Find out if you could be a foster carer
In a few simple questions, you’ll know if you’re suitable to apply to become a foster carer.
I have worked as a Supervising Social Worker with NFA South East since 2020, providing support to foster carers and looked after children under my care. My professional journey as a social worker has encompassed a diverse range of services, including Therapeutic Residential Schools, Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Child Protection, Children with Disabilities, Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) and Leaving Care Services. I have also conducted initial visits, supported potential carers through the application process and I work closely with the fostering Panel. I am currently undertaking specialised training to support carers with a more therapeutic approach aimed at strengthening the emotional bond and attachment between foster carers and children. I am deeply committed to fostering and inclusion, as well in empowering marginalised children and families. My holistic perspective consistently informs my practice and fuels my passion for making a meaningful impact on the lives of those I support.
