Registered Manager

I have over 12 years of experience as a social worker, which has provided me with valuable insights into the social care sector from both a Local Authority (LA) and independent agency perspective. My background includes frontline child protection, court proceedings, child in need services, disability support, adoption, and fostering.

In 2015, I joined the fostering group as a Supervising Social Worker (SSW) and have since progressed to my current role as Registered Manager. During my time with the agency, I specialised in Parent and Child arrangements, leading one of the most successful Parent and Child groups in the region.

I spent four years working at a summer camp in the United States, supporting children aged 5 to 18 with additional needs such as developmental delays, autism, ADHD, and bipolar disorder. This experience honed my ability to work with diverse, complex needs and strengthened my commitment to inclusive, individualised care.

Additionally, I bring international experience from my time working as a student social worker in Australia, where I focused on supporting Aboriginal communities and their mental health needs. This diverse range of experience allows me to lead with a well-rounded and culturally informed approach to fostering and care.

I have specialised in fostering for over 10 years and believe that being a foster parent is a true calling. It’s a unique and transformative opportunity to offer something truly special to children and young people who have already faced significant challenges. I look forward to meeting you and working together to ensure that children remain at the heart of everything we do.
