Hi I am Claire, I am the Registered Manager for The National Fostering Agency Scotland, my team supports foster carers throughout Scotland. We have an office in Grangemouth and a hub Office in Aberdeenshire.

Here at The National Fostering Agency Scotland, we have an enthusiastic and experienced staff team, who are all dedicated to recruiting, assessing, training, and supporting our foster carers. We run a blended training programme and plenty of foster carer events for support and networking. We also facilitate groups and events for children and young people.

My Carer Recruitment Officer will make contact with you if you want to find out more about fostering with us. They are there with applicants throughout the assessment process, which provides a personal feel. They respond promptly to all questions and will keep in touch from the start of your application to the finish.

We have an excellent blended training programme, run local support groups across Scotland and a regular programme of events to help foster carers and children build relationships. There is 24-hour support available, this includes our out of hours support service which gives you access to a supervising social worker and manager at all times. We also operate a buddy system for newly approved foster carers, and they provide peer support.

We are also a registered ‘Adult Placement Service’, which allows our foster carers to provide continuing care to young people up to the age of 21 years.

Our Children and Foster Carers are very much included and involved in developing our service, we are always striving to improve.

I am incredibly proud of the care, love and support our foster carers and their children provide by opening their hearts and homes to children who need safe and nurturing care.
