Find out if you could be a foster carer
In a few simple questions, you’ll know if you’re suitable to apply to become a foster carer.
My name is Heather C. I started my role as a Supervising Social Worker (SSW) at NFA London in January 2024, although I have worked as a social worker for several years. My job role as an SSW is to support foster carers with meeting the needs of young people in their care. My work revolves around supporting with care planning, in a child centred way in partnership with children, families and other agencies. I particularly enjoy working closely with foster carers, to ensure that any challenges or concerns are resolved in a timely way. Overall, I draw satisfaction from being able to support with promoting the well-being of young people in foster care and ensuring they have the best opportunities to achieve positive outcomes and have a good quality of life.
