Hi, I’m Laura and I joined NFA as a supervising social worker in September 2021. I graduated with an undergraduate degree in Social Work followed by a master’s in child and Adolescent Mental Health both at the University of South Wales.

Previously, I worked as a child’s social worker for the local authority covering a range of areas including child protection, looked after children, special guardianship orders, fostering and adoption and court work. The role of supervising social worker has therefore been a big change for me and one which I have thoroughly enjoyed.

It is beneficial to have worked in many areas of social work to assist me in being able to offer our foster carers, and the children we work with, the best possible support. The agency has been so welcoming and the team I work with are simply brilliant. I can’t wait to see how my future will develop with NFA.
