Find out if you could be a foster carer
In a few simple questions, you’ll know if you’re suitable to apply to become a foster carer.
I have been part of National Fostering Group for almost 8 years, joining in October 2016 as a Supervising Social Worker, then taking on the role of Team Manager from December 2021.
My social work career began in 2005 and after 3 years working in child protection and family support, I moved into the fostering sector. Prior to gaining my social work qualification I spent 5 years working directly with children with disabilities. I feel privileged to be part of a team and agency with such a dedicated and committed attitude. We have a wonderful staff team who bring to our region a vast array of skill, expertise, knowledge and dedication. Our region is always commended on how inclusive and joined up our team is; we strive to work in a supportive and holistic way. Our foster carers are equally formidable; the love, support and care they provide to children always amazes me. We work hard as a region to support our foster carers fully, empower them and train and support them to achieve the best outcomes possible for the children and young people they support.
