Hi, I’m Lucy! I graduated from the University of Bath in June 2014 with a degree in Social Work and Applied Social Sciences. I have experiences in front line child protection, adoption and fostering. I re-joined NFA as a supervising social worker in June 2021 and progressed to Advanced Practitioner in March 2022. Within my role I supervise four supervising social workers and undertake project work. I am passionate about supporting foster carers, being committed to providing positive outcomes for children and young people and providing a good quality service.
Outside of work I enjoy reading, music and swimming. I also enjoy volunteering in my local community. I am a parent governor at my children’s school. I serve on: curriculum and staffing committees and I am the responsible governor for safeguarding, children looked after and internet safety. I am also the welfare officer for my children’s gymnastic club. I feel both roles have enhanced my knowledge in safeguarding from an educational and sporting perspective.
I enjoy working at NFA Southwest and look forward to continuing my role here.
