Supervising Social Worker covering Swansea, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.

I started working at NFA in April 2022 after many years of working for local authorities in both children and adult services.

I have worked in social care all of my working career mainly in teams supporting children, adults and carers with disabilities.

It was always my ambition to pursue a career as a supervising social worker after being a foster carer myself for many years. This was a role I found very rewarding, yet equally challenging, but in a way that taught me many valuable life skills and lessons on seeing from the child and young person’s perspective what it was like being a child that was in the care system. My experience as a foster carer has made me be very aware of how I practice as a social worker and acknowledge how important it is to be child centred and focused at all times. Since working at NFA I have met some amazing children, young people and foster carers and am excited to continue my journey with NFA as a SSW.
