Hi, I am Nikki and am the first point of contact for anyone looking into fostering with us!!

I was a Foster Carer myself for several years when my children were young, offering respite, emergency and short-term care. In addition, along with my own 3 birth children, I have raised 2 adopted sibling boys for the past 15 years. My daughter went on to become a Child Protection Social Worker with the Local Authority and now works as a Supervising Social Worker for our amazing team here at NFA South West. I believe that her passion and desire to have a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children and young people is fuelled from her time as a birth child in a foster family.

A few years ago, on a personal mission to provide a safe space for young people to thrive I was inspired to start a Community Interest Company with the aim of providing an Indoor Urban Sports Arena in my local area. This was not just to be a skate and BMX park, but would consist of graffiti workshops, music rooms and dance studios. I wanted to empower our young people to recognise their capabilities, self-determination and worth.
