Linda has been a foster carer with Fostering Solutions for a number and years and will be attending the black tie awards ceremony on September 24 to find out if she has won.

Linda said: “I was so surprised to be nominated. A lot of people do great things every day, like caring for ill people or children in hospitals, so I didn’t expect it – but it’s lovely to be nominated.

“I’m taking my three daughters with me on the night, because without their help and support I wouldn’t be the carer I am today. All the family has been involved with my fostering journey, my grandchildren have always got on well with the foster children, especially my foster son now. Their support deserves some recognition too.

“We’re really excited to attend the awards dinner. I’m not expecting to win I’m just grateful to be involved as it’s been such a lovely experience.”

We wish Linda the best of luck!
