Amanda supervises and supports our foster carers having been a foster carer herself for six years. Amanda’s passion for fostering led to her studying for her Social Work degree and graduating in 2018. Since then Amanda has worked for Reach Out Care as a Supervising Social Worker. Amanda is passionate about supporting single carers, Parent & Child placements and children and young people with complex and profound disabilities in particular. Amanda returned to Uni in 2022 and completed her Practice Educator One award. Amanda is now qualified to assess and sign off social work students who are interested in a career in fostering.  Amanda says “ I enjoy working for Reach Out Care as we have some great carers and staff who go above and beyond to support children and young people at a critical time in their lives”.
