Find out if you could be a foster carer
In a few simple questions, you’ll know if you’re suitable to apply to become a foster carer.
I qualified in Ireland where I gained my Masters Qualification in Social Work in 2023. I have worked with both adults and children in a variety of settings. In Ireland, I worked in an acute and rehabilitation hospital where I supported adults facing physical and mental health challenges in their lives. My role focused on ensuring they felt supported and heard within the medical team, contributing to their care plans and ensuring they had a safe discharge from hospital.
I then moved to the United Kingdom where I practiced as a Supervising Social Worker for an independent fostering agency in London which I thoroughly enjoyed. From this experience, my passion and interest in this area grew. Working with foster carers has been a rewarding experience and getting to know the children they care for and seeing them thrive within therapeutic environments reinforces my passion for fostering.
I joined Ryancare Fostering in May 2025 and it is a real ‘family feel’ within the agency which allows everyone to know each other very well, allowing me to feel supported and a valued member of the team.
