Suffolk Events in June

Monday 09 May 2016

The National Fostering Agency in Suffolk has two open events in June coming up in Sudbury and Lowestoft to speak with people who are interested in becoming foster carers.

A ‘Becoming a Foster Carer’ presentation will be given by Peter Norman, Carer Recruitment Officer in Suffolk, Supervising Social Workers in Sudbury & Lowestoft, Caroline Dunne & Sue Mackness and Registered Manager in Lowestoft, Michelle Perry. The events will provide information on the process of fostering and the day to day requirements of looking after children in foster care.

The presentation will guide people through the procedure of becoming a foster carer, as well as showing the difference you can make to a child’s life as a foster carer. The presentation will also cover the increasing need for foster carers to look after parent and child, unaccompanied children from conflict zones and sibling group placements. We hope these events will give a real insight to those considering becoming foster carers.

The events in Suffolk take place on Thursday 16th June at 7pm at the National Fostering Agency East Office in Lowestoft and on Friday 17th June at 2pm at the Mill Hotel, Sudbury. Details of these events can be found on our website www. nfa.co.uk or you can call our local office directly to find out more on 01502 588 349.
