The Fostering Relations offices are based in Glasgow and Grangemouth, although you don’t need to worry if you aren’t living close by these locations.
We can also provide local training and foster carer support groups for our foster carers based across central Scotland, whether you are from the top of the region in Dundee or as down in Dumfries and Galloway.
Your local training coordinator will travel to your area to give you the fostering skills you need, which are all free of charge as part of our dedication to developing you both personally and professionally so that you are well equipped to care for those who need it most.
Such training could include your three-day ‘Skills to Foster’ course, where you have the chance to learn everything you need to know about the basics of being a foster carer, or a more specialist fostering skills module which you and your supervising social worker have identified as useful to your continued growth as a foster carer.
With the national backing that comes with being part of the National Fostering Group while still being able to offer localised, personal advice and training from our expert fostering support network, you will be rest assured that both you and the children in your care are in safe hands.
