The National Fostering Group have been featured in ‘Children and Young People Now’ for their work in partnership with Lancashire County Council in providing Step Down Foster Placements.
The National Fostering Group’s ‘Bridge to Foster’ supports children in transitioning from residential care back into a loving, supportive and caring family environment.
Richard Woodward, Director of Strategy at the National Fostering Group said “proper planning and collaborative working” between Independent Fostering Agency’s and local authority commissioners could provide long term family-based placements to a substantial amount of those within residential care.
