Child Safety Week is run by Child Accident Prevention Trust (CAPT) to raise awareness of the risks of child accidents and how they can
be prevented. CAPT provide a range of resources to help practitioners run local activities and events and promote safety messages in a fun and engaging
way.
Events are held by a range of different organisations and individuals, including children’s centres, childminders, fire and rescue teams, hospitals, schools
and many more.
This years’ Child Safety Week runs from Monday 3rd June to Sunday 9th June 2019.
The theme is Family life today: where’s the risk? It highlights the new dangers facing families today from our modern lifestyles and offers simple
solutions to keep children safe.
