The Children’s Commissioner has gathered the views and experiences of 100 children living in care or who are care leavers to inform the National Fostering
Stocktake, being conducted by the Department of Education and led by Sir Martin Narey and Mark Owers.
The Commissioner is determined to shine a light on issues which affect foster children, such as placement moves, social worker contact and longer term
contact with foster carers. This report provides a summary of the key themes arising from
their discussions with children.
